Our Team

Maisie Hennessey is a BACP accredited counselling/psychotherapy practitioner and a graduate member of the British Psychological Society. She is currently deputy clinical director/head of practice within First Psychology. She oversees the clinical work of our practitioners, as well as recruitment, development and support. Maisie is a highly experienced clinician drawing primarily on psychodynamic approaches and she has worked extensively in the training arena in the counselling and psychotherapy field. Maisie has been a core member of the training team of the Diploma in Counselling at Edinburgh University and she has contributed to both masters and doctoral level training at Glasgow Caledonian University. Maisie provides support and guidance on the relationship between training and practice as part of the Diploma in Integrative Counselling and Psychological Therapies.
